Concert celebrating the 25th anniversary of Estonian restoration of independence held at the President’s Rose Garden

On August 20th, 2016, for the last time as President of the Republic, Toomas Hendrik Ilves invited guests to the Rose Garden of the Office of the President to celebrate the restoration of our country’s independence. As it was also a round number – 25 years since the restoration of independence -, the reception that has already become a tradition was followed by a concert performed by Estonian musicians, that was arranged in collaboration between the Office of the President and Tallinn Music Week. The concert featured the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra conducted by Tõnu Kaljuste, Trad.Attack!, Tõnis Mägi, Riho Sibul, Ain Agan, Kärt Johanson, Maarja Nuut, the Kadri Voorand Quartet, Maria Faust, Junk Riot and Female Chamber Choir Sireen, Jaak Johanson, Krista Citra Joonas, Mari Kalkun, Vaiko Eplik, Lenna, Jaan Pehk, Estrada Orchestra, and Genka & Paul Oja. Sven Grünberg, Ott Lepland, Liis Viira, Reigo Ahven, Mihkel Mälgand, Ain Agan, and Riho Sibul gave a special performance. The closing performance came courtesy of Curly Strings.
