Hobby education and activity conference HUVIK: “Hobby. Value(s). Future”

Taking place in the Telliskivi Creative City, topics discussed at the hobby education and activity conference included the value of the work of hobby education and activity instructors, new developments and challenges in the field, and the consideration of skills learned during hobby education and activity in educational stages and employment. More broadly, the conference was aimed towards recognising informal study, and smart solutions in hobby education and activity.

The conference brought together hobby education and activity organisers, the field’s representative associations, young people, the leaders of hobby schools, and local government officials. The opening speech of the conference was held by the Minister of Education and Research Mailis Reps, inspiration was shared by conductor Kristjan Järvi, head coach of the Estonian national football team Martin Reim, and founder and CEO of Telliskivi Creative City Jaanus Juss.

The conference was hosted by Piret Jeedas and Anatoli Tafitšuk.

The conference was organized by the Ministry of Education and Research with the Estonian Youth Work Centre. Partners: Shiftworks, AKU, RGB Baltic, Ott Kangur, Ivar Murd.
