Tallinn Music Week’s two-day sister festival returned with renewed energy – in addition to concert evenings in Genklubi there were free pop-up events at the city’s smartest startups and on November 27th four of the city’s startups opened their doors to all visitors.
There were two international artists in the Tartu Music Week programme – critically acclaimed Russian post-punk group Motorama and Finnish rapper-producer with an eccentric sound and an Ethiopian background Noah Kin. Estonian music was represented by Andres Kõpper’s electronic solo project NOËP, pair of hip-hop grand old men Genka and Paul Oja, Shelton San with their massive walls of sound, psychedelic Holy Motors, electro-acoustic collective Tronden, Badass Yuki guitarist Paul Sild’s one-man noise project Tahm, junk-funk duo Machineries of Joy and young rap-lyricist San Hani.
