Shiftworks at the 30th anniversary celebration of the European Investment Fund (EIF) in Luxembourg

Shiftworks was selected as one of 40 European creative companies to participate in the 30th anniversary celebration of European Investment Fund (EIF) in Luxembourg on June 10 – 11. The event brought together over 450 shareholders, partners and representatives of funded companies from all over Europe to the LuxExpo exhibition centre in the heart of Luxembourg. Shiftworks was selected from 2.1 million companies to participate in the  anniversary festivities. 

According to the Chief Executive of EIF Marjut Falkstedt, EIF’s 30-year milestone celebration was also about honouring the boldness of 2.1 million businesses. She said, “For our celebratory event, we invited a small selection of these businesses from across Europe to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit and their impact in terms of innovation, social inclusion and culture, economic growth and sustainability. Our selection reflects a diverse range of business models, industries, sectors and geographies. Shiftworks is a great story about culture, identity and entrepreneurship in Estonia and we were very glad that the team was able to join us to celebrate 30 years bold, but also to showcase their work to over 450 guests.”

EIF is a part of the of the European Investment Bank Group. It specializes in providing risk finance to benefit small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) across Europe. The EIF programme of more than €120 million loan guarantees was launched in 2016 with the aim to offer loan financing on better terms to ambitious creative enterprises.. In Estonia, EIF, in cooperation with Finora Bank, offers a creative loan service for small and medium-sized SMEs.

In addition to company presentations, EIF 30 hosted a conference entitled “Building a Stronger Europe Together”. Deputy Chief Executive of EIF Roger Havenith; Moritz von der Linden, Chief Executive Officer of the pioneering German tech company Marvel Fusion and Sara Mangsbo, Professor at Department of Pharmacy at Uppsala University were among the panellists on sustainability, social inclusion and pan-European meta-trends.

Shiftworks is an Estonian company founded in 2009 whose key competences are in the promotion and communication of cultural events with lasting sectoral and social impact. The company’s lead projects are the internationally recognised talent festival and music industry conference Tallinn Music Week (TMW) and the city culture and music festival Station Narva. Shiftworks’ service portfolio includes various B2B and B2C projects, among which are conferences, business delegations, client events, communication strategies and creative concepts on an international, national and regional level.

Shiftworks is also one of the lead partners in the European Commission’s 2023 – 2026 project Music Moves Europe, implemented at the leading European music industry events in order to shape the music policy of the European Union.
