Tomorrow Comes the Harvest is Mills’ most important creative project of the past years.

Mills started the Tomorrow Comes The Harvest project in 2016 with the late, great Tony Allen and French-Guyanese keyboardist Jean-Phi Dary. The idea was to not prepare or plan anything, but play in the moment to reach for the same understanding musically. Following the death of Allen in 2020, the group now consists of Mills, Dary and Indian tabla player Prabhu Edouard – each belonging to a long tradition of exploring the unknown by intersecting sounds and rhythm through an array of improvisational movements.
