Europe Day 2026 concert in Narva

Date

The Shiftworks team once again had the honour and pleasure of helping the European Commission Representation in Estonia organise the Europe Day concert on Saturday, 9 May, at Narva Town Hall Square.

On the stage set up in front of the Town Hall, the concert programme opened with bands from Ida-Viru County schools: Virland from Kohtla-Järve, The Rising from Jõhvi, and Between Two Stars from Narva. The main concert featured the Narva City Symphony Orchestra and star singers Ott Lepland and Tanja Mihhailova, performing a programme centred on the beloved repertoire of Jaak Joala. In the second half of the evening, the stage was taken over by NOËP, joined by singers from Narva’s youth vocal studio Magic Land. Narva DJ Työmik Bassofsky closed out the eventt.

Welcoming remarks were given by European Commissioner Glenn Micallef, Prime Minister of the Republic of Estonia Kristen Michal, and Mayor of Narva Katri Raik. The event was hosted by Jevgeni Timostsuk.

A Europe tent, cafés and a children’s area were open on Town Hall Square. As part of Europe Day, visitors could also attend the Ida-Viru Future Fair, take part in a Europe-themed orienteering game, join the INSA community family day, and go on a city tour.
