Shiftworks, in cooperation with the NGO Plug, has been managing the Russian-language social media of the European Commission Representation in Estonia since December 2020.
The European Commission Representation in Estonia is the local representative of the Commission based in Tallinn, and its tasks include:
- explaining to the people of Estonia how EU policies affect their lives;
- providing the Estonian government, public authorities, and other stakeholders with reliable information about the EU;
- informing the Estonian press and media about significant events in EU policy;
- conveying the European Commission’s messages to the people of Estonia;
- providing the Commission with information about significant political, economic, and social events occurring in Estonia.
One of the most important objectives of the representation is to engage Estonian citizens in thinking about and contributing to European affairs.
